First off… 25L Tuesday starts at midnight, and Haven Designs is in the lineup with a fun halloween themed outfit for you all.

Also, for those of you who turned in customer surveys to me this month, thank you SO MUCH!  Your input is extremely valuable, and helps me figure out what you want.  I loved reading the extra bits of info many of you put on your notecard responses.
Finally, the part you’ve all been waiting for!  Due to me expecting to be unavailable on October 30-31 (thanks to real life) I’ve done the raffle drawing today!  I wasn’t expecting the overwhelming number of survey respones I got, so I bumped the number of winners from one winner, to three winners!

I will wear purple today.

I wear purple today.  If I could wear purple every day, I would.

I was relentlessly bullied throughout middle school and high school because of my sexual preferences, to the point of attempting suicide myself.  Thanks to the quick intervention of friends, family, and medical professionals, my life was saved, and through the help of therapy and a caring support network, I found hope and a reason to stick it out and make it to adulthood.
We need to help get the message across that there is hope.  It gets better.

Wear purple today if you can.  In Second Life, in Real Life.  Please.  Do it for the kids who are struggling with what I once struggled with.  Too many of them did not have the intervention I did, and too many are now only present in our thoughts and prayers.

There is light at the end of the tunnel.   I know there is, because I made it out alive.

Wednesday, October 20, 2010 is a very, very important day for me and for many others who have stepped up to try and make a difference.

 
After the recent suicides of several LGBT youth due to overwhelming bullying, Oct 20th has been declared “Wear Purple” day to raise awareness for this all too painful problem currently being ignored worldwide.

 
I was relentlessly bullied throughout middle school and high school because of my sexual preferences, to the point of attempting suicide myself.  Thanks to the quick intervention of friends, family, and medical professionals, my life was saved, and through the help of therapy and a caring support network, I found hope and a reason to stick it out and make it to adulthood.

 
We need to help get the message across that there is hope.  It gets better.

 

For those of you who are in need of something purple to help raise awareness, there is a free unisex t-shirt at my main store location.  Please come pick it up.  Put it on.  Blog it.  Show it off.  Help raise awareness.  No one should be forced to endure bullying.  No one should be forced into a position where the light isn’t visible at the end of the tunnel.

Yoga Pants?! At Haven Designs?

I’ve deviated from the norm once again.  Due to an utter lack of motivation, and the awesomeness of the yoga pants I’m currently wearing while typing this…

Have some pants.  Only 80L per single color, 320L for all colors.  Get them at Haven Designs.
They’re slouchy, lower on one hip than the other, maybe a little too short, and one of the strings from the inner drawstring is hanging out.  There’s a good chance, I have to admit, that these are my usual RL work pants.
And they’re probably fairly unisex, I tried them on my male avatar and they didn’t look half bad!   😀

A mistake was made!
